The Sickos Stats Summary - Week 4!!
Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary!
If you missed this last year and the explainer, this year at the Sickos Sentinel, we’re going to bring you something called the Sickos Stats Summary. It’s basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
Also, if I miss something on these, feel free to yell at me to correct. I am nowhere near perfect and data pulls miss things sometimes 🙂

The Sickos Stats Summary
WEEK 4 SAFETY ALERTS FOR GAMES INVOLVING DIVISION I TEAMS
In 2024, we started tracking records of people who scored a safety on their opponent. Last year teams who scored a safety were 58-29 on the year. A winning percentage of .666%. So, we wanted to track them again.
This year teams who have scored a safety were 13-7 coming into Week 4.
We had so many safeties this week! It was awesome and I couldn’t keep up!! Hope I didn’t miss any!

LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - TOUCHDOWN
I am going to break this one down more this week, and we had some epic drives in time of possession for touchdowns, field goals, punts, and turnover on downs.
First up, let’s start with the Touchdown drive. UCF welcomed UNC to Orlando, and they were up 27-9. The Knights then mounted an epic 18-play, 93-yard touchdown drive, taking 10 minutes and 26 seconds off the clock and effectively killing the game. Masterful work, UCF. What a drive.

LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - FIELD GOAL
UT-Martin was playing FBS newcomer Missouri State. Nothing was going right for the Skyhawks as they were down 42-0. They then mounted an absolutely epic 21-play, 78-yard drive that took 11 minutes and 13 seconds, resulting in a made 32-yard field goal on a 4th and 8. Don’t worry, it wasn’t a sad field goal; they got a TD on the very next drive.

LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - RESULTING IN A PUNT
Mercyhurst was in Bozeman, Montana, to face Montana State. They intercepted the Bobcats basically on their goal line and started their drive at the one-yard line. They opened their drive with a 28-yard gain on the first play, but then things… got a little crazy. Not only that, but they got a 4th and 1 conversion on their 37-yard line to continue the drive. Another 4th and 3 conversion to get down to Montana State’s 26-yard line. Then it got crazier: sacked for a 7-yard loss, back up at 3rd and 18, on the Bobcats 34-yard line, they convert on 4th and 4 to get to Montana State’s 10-yard line.
From Montana State’s 10-yard line on 1st and goal. Loss of 4 yards, false start, incomplete pass on second down, incomplete pass on third down but got called for a chop block, so back them up 15 more yards. So now it’s 3rd and goal on the Bobcats 34-yard line. Montana State sacks them for an 8-yard loss, and it's now 4th and Goal on the 42-yard line of the Bobcats. Mercyhurst then punted 42 yards for a touchback.
A 19-play, 58-yard drive taking 10 minutes and 55 seconds resulted in a punt.

Drive Summary

Congrats Mercyhurst
LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - TURNOVER ON DOWNS
Cal opened the games against San Diego State on offense at their 23-yard line. They then proceeded to go on an epic journey on offense. They picked up a 4th and 1 on the Aztec’s 20-yard line and got a first down. Not only that, but they then picked up another 4th and 1 on the Aztec 11-yard line. They got all the way down to the 1-yard line, lost a yard on 3rd down, but decided to go for it on 4th and goal from the 2-yard line. The pass fell incomplete, and the Aztecs took over on downs. This was a sign of things to come for Cal, as they lost 34-0 after this epic 19-play, 75-yard drive in 10 minutes and 7 seconds.

Cal here is your award.
LONGEST PUNT OF THE WEEK - WEEK 4
We had a close race for this week’s title. Honorable Mention to Heath Jehu of Chattanooga and James Platte of The Citadel both registering a 70 yard punt. However, the winner this week goes to Vincent Muscillo of Wagner with a 71 Yard Boot against Central Michigan. Of course, no one captured this bomb of a punt and I had to film it very Sickos style.
