Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary!
If you missed this last year, welcome to the Sickos Stats Summary. It’s basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
Also, if I miss something on these, feel free to yell at me to correct. I am nowhere near perfect and data pulls miss things sometimes 🙂

Newly beveled!!
WEEK SICK-0 SAFETY ALERTS FOR GAMES INVOLVING DIVISION I TEAMS
In 2024, we started tracking records of people who scored a safety on their opponent. In 2024, teams who scored a safety were 58-29 on the year. A winning percentage of .666%.
Teams scoring a safety were 58-27 in 2025 when scoring a safety this season for the DI Teams. A win percentage of .682 of in 2025. A slight improvement over 2024.
Well, let’s get started tracking safeties again in 2026.
UC Davis was down 21-0 to Portland State and then got a safety to make it 21-2. Then they came all the way back to avoid the upset bid by the sharply dressed Vikings in their new uniforms.
UNC beat TCU with the help of a snap over the head of the punter.
Stanford blocked a Hawaii punt for a Safety and fought off a Bows comeback for a win.
North Alabama sacked the Samford QB for a safety and got a win.
So after Week 0, everyone who got a safety won their football game. A Perfect 4-0 when scoring a safety! As always the safety compilation is here on our YouTube.
LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - TOUCHDOWN
You know we love giving attention to teams who possess the ball a really long time. We love to recognize teams who just methodically move the ball down the field and cash it in for a touchdown. This weeks winner is Virginia. They went on an epic 23 play, 75 yard drive that took 12 minutes and 15 seconds. It extinguished any hopes of an NC State comeback. Congrats to Virginia on winning this award in Week 0!

LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION
The Governors of Austin Peay were taking on the Running Bulldogs of Gardner Webb. They had a pretty good grasp of this game up 18 and effectively killed a good bit of the 4th quarter with this 15 play, 59 yard, 9 minute and 29 second drive. Congrats to the Governors for the win and winning this week’s award!

THE LONGEST PUNT OF THE WEEK
We had a tie for Week 0 - Which means I need to order another trophy from (maybe this trophy place will sponsor this award one day). We had a repeat winner from last year in Bryson Patten from Morehead State (he won last year when he was with South Dakota School of Mines). Also, we have a new winner Hayden Futch of Illinois State. Both tied with a long punt of 70 yards. And neither punt went for a Touchback!

Thanks for reading and watching all the videos!
