The Sickos Stats Summary for Week 12!
Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary for Week 12!

If you missed the previous weeks and the explainer, this year at the Sickos Sentinel, we’re going to bring you something called the Sickos Stats Summary. It’s basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
SAFETY ALERTS FOR WEEK 12
You know we love our safeties here. It’s a scoring play that's rare, and it leads to weird scores that you don’t see too often. So we want to shout out these teams that scored a safety. We were able to gather data from the FBS, FCS and sometimes DII***. If we miss one in our data search, we’re sorry. It is not intentional, and sometimes the data is faulty.

A solid safety week this week. NAU cruised over Northern Colorado for their 4th straight win since the Commish visited Flagstaff; they were up 28-3 at the time they got their safety on the Bears. Jackson State used their safety to help clinch the SWAC East division over Alabama State 16-10. Dayton was powered by their 4th Quarter safety to take down Valpo on Facebook. Drake started the game with a safety, but Morehead State was a winner, 29-20. Coastal was unable to defeat Marshall, as they were already down 31-17 late in the 4th Quarter when Marshall snapped the ball out of the end zone.
Week 1 - 8-3 Record
Week 2 - 7-1 Record
Week 3 - 3-0 Record
Week 4 - 6-3 Record
Week 5 - 4-3 Record
Week 6 - 0-0 Record

Week 8 - 3-2 Record
Week 9 - 5-0 Record
Week 10 - 2-2 Record
Week 11 - 6-2 Record
Week 12 - 3-2 Record
49-21 Record on the Year if you score a safety
LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

Air Force was up 14-0, and they took their opening second half drive 15 Plays, 74 Yards down to the Oregon State 12-yard line, but fumbled the ball away. Air Force was fine, though, as they blanked the Beavers 28-0.
I have to make an update from last week. Army also won the longest non-scoring drive against North Texas. With an over 10 minute non-scoring drive. My apologies Black Knights and Bulldogs fans.
LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

Kennesaw State had a lot of drama going on during the week. After firing their coach, a few players entered the transfer portal but they put up a really admirable fight against Sam Houston. They opened the scoring in the 2nd quarter with this masterful 13 Play, 83 Yard Drive taking 10 Minutes and 27 seconds. They settled for a 25 yard field goal.
Honorable Mention to BYU here. They missed out on this award by 1 SECOND. They had a 17 Play, 66 Yard, Field Goal drive taking 10 Minutes and 26 Seconds.
BLOCKED FIELD GOALS OF THE WEEK!
I was just curious on how many teams blocked a field goal this week. There was 12 and one returned one for a touchdown! Congrats Marshall.
Nebraska
UAlbany
William & Mary
Tarleton State
East Texas A&M
Indiana State
San Diego
Butler
St. Thomas (MN)
Oregon State
Eastern Michigan
Marshall - Blocked Field Goal plus a return for Touchdown.
LONGEST PUNT OF THE WEEK - FBS & FCS

Alcorn State was clinging to a 19-13 lead on Prairie View early in the 4th Quarter. Franklin Rogers unleashed the boot to flip the field for the Braves. The 73 Yard Punt was downed at the 1-yard line, forcing the Panthers to traverse the entire field. Alcorn State held on to win 26-13 in a heated SWAC Rivalry game.
Honorable Mention to UMass Punter CJ Kolodziey for his punt for 71 yds, downed at the 11-yard line.
Thank you for reading! We are working on more data sorting to come up with more ridiculous stats to celebrate, so stay tuned. Also, feel free to suggest more ideas in the comments or yell at me if the data missed something so I can correct it!
We rebranded a metric from last year to a newly better named one C.O.A.S.T. TO VICTORY - A rebranded stat from the Sickos Committee! and then an all new stat to calculate the Spinach Team of the Week!
