The Sickos Stats Summary for Week 10!
Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary for Week 10!

If you missed the previous weeks and the explainer, this year at the Sickos Sentinel, we’re going to bring you something called the Sickos Stats Summary. It’s basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
SAFETY ALERTS FOR WEEK 10
You know we love our safeties here. It’s a scoring play that's rare, and it leads to weird scores that you don’t see too often. So we want to shout out these teams that scored a safety. We were able to gather data from the FBS, FCS and sometimes DII***. If we miss one in our data search, we’re sorry. It is not intentional, and sometimes the data is faulty.

We had a few safeties this week and it’s always better than no safeties. Earning a safety this week was a mixed bag. Brown got a safety against Penn but it happened when they were down 38-20 late in the 4th Quarter. Youngstown State opened the scoring with a safety against Illinois State on nearly their first defensive possession but didn’t score again until the 3rd Quarter. The Blue Hose asserted their dominance in a win over Dayton and Sam Houston played a weeknight game winning 9-3 over La Tech.
Week 1 - 8-3 Record
Week 2 - 7-1 Record
Week 3 - 3-0 Record
Week 4 - 6-3 Record
Week 5 - 4-3 Record
Week 6 - 0-0 Record
Week 7 - 2-3 Record
Week 8 - 3-2 Record
Week 9 - 5-0 Record
Week 10 - 2-2 Record
40-17 Record on the Year if you score a safety
LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

USC decided to go for it down five on the Washington 1 yard line late in the 4th Quarter. They didn’t get it and the Huskies stuffed them on 4th and Goal. USC tried again and turned it over on downs. So congrats to USC for winning the longest Non-Scoring Drive of the Week!
ULM Honorable Mentioned! ULM finished second by two seconds with a 13 play, 39 yard drive, taking 8 minutes and 36 seconds, ending in a missed field goal.
LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

Tulane is one upping USC again. What is this the 2022 Cotton Bowl? The Green Wave was in Charlotte to face Biff’s Boys on Halloween Night. They took their opening drive 20 plays, 80 yards in 10 minutes and 58 seconds settling for a 34 yard field goal. The Green Wave eventually got going and scored 34 to handily beat the Niners.

Thank you for reading! We are working on more data sorting to come up with more ridiculous stats to celebrate, so stay tuned. Also, feel free to suggest more ideas in the comments or yell at me if the data missed something so I can correct it!
We rebranded a metric from last year to a newly better named one C.O.A.S.T. TO VICTORY - A rebranded stat from the Sickos Committee! and then an all new stat to calculate the Spinach Team of the Week!
