Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary!
If you missed this last year, welcome to the Sickos Stats Summary. It’s basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
Also, if I miss something on these, feel free to yell at me to correct. I am nowhere near perfect and data pulls miss things sometimes 🙂

WEEK FOUR SAFETY ALERTS FOR GAMES INVOLVING DIVISION I TEAMS
In 2024, we started tracking records of people who scored a safety on their opponent. In 2024, teams who scored a safety were 58-29 on the year. A winning percentage of .666%.
Teams scoring a safety were 58-27 in 2025 when scoring a safety this season for the DI Teams. A win percentage of .682 of in 2025. A slight improvement over 2024.
Coming into this week, teams are 21-6 on the year when scoring a safety. We didn’t have that many safeties. This week was mostly, if you scored a safety, you won again!
This week we didn’t have a theme as we only had FOUR safeties on the week. Wait we did have a theme. Three credited sacks for safeties!
Elon blocked a Maine punt for a safety
Indiana sacked Aidan Chiles for a safety
Kent State crushed Ball State’s QB for a safety.
UT-Martin sacked the Austin Peay QB for a safety
Nearly everyone got a victory this week, except for UT-Martin. So we finish this week 3-1 when scoring a safety and up to 24-7 on the season. Currently on a .774 win percentage pace this year. As always, here is our safety compilation on our YouTube.
LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION - TOUCHDOWN
Look away Temple fans, you had to see this one coming. The past two years the Owls have faced Army, the Black Knights have found their way into the Sickos Stats Summary. Last year Army had a drive clinging to a 14-13 lead and they drained the remaining 9 minutes off the clock, never giving the ball back to Temple. This year, Army needed a score to take the lead.
I love that Army football has taken to making their own graphics for these drives showing the time of possession.

Congrats Army! And Temple, I hope they leave Army off your schedule for the next few years. You need a break as evidenced from all the Temple fan agony posts saying NOT AGAIN on social media.

LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION
Tennessee Tech was playing catch-up to the Wofford Terriers all game long. They were looking at a 35-21 deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter and decided to go for it on 4th and Goal from the 2-yard line. The JAX LEATHERWOOD (that is their QB’s name) pass fell incomplete, and the Golden Eagles remained down 35-21. They didn’t give up and rallied to win in the 4th quarter, 42-38. So they won the game, and they won this award!
Congrats, Tennessee Tech, on your 16-play, 73-yard drive in 9 minutes and 35 seconds ending in a turnover on downs on the LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK!

THE LONGEST PUNT OF THE WEEK - WEEK 4 - DIVISION 1
We actually have another repeat winner here. This punter was at Buffalo last year, we sent him a trophy and some stickers last year. He then hit the transfer portal and wound up at Purdue. Now, Boilermakers fans, I know you want to forget this game happened and you can, but you got to remember this punt at least. Just don’t look at the score at the time of the punt.
Congrats to Dylan Drennan of Purdue on his 78 YARD BOOT!!

THE LONGEST MADE FIELD GOAL OF THE WEEK!
We had FOUR people in Division I make a 54 yard field goal. Glad we don’t give out trophies for this award just yet! (MAYBE SOME TROPHY COMPANY WILL SPONSOR US SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE)
THE LOWEST SCORING GAME OF THE WEEK - ALL DIVISIONS
We go to Division III again! Rowan played Lycoming in some really bad weather this weekend and they won 9-0. Yes, there was a safety. Just look at how drenched they look in the uniforms. I bet that was a blast to play in, just sliding everywhere.

There were 10 FUMBLES in the game and only four were lost. One of the seven fumbles was recovered in the end zone for a safety by Lycoming when the snap to the punter was high and fumbled. Yes, I found video.
