The Sickos Stats Summary for Week 14! The End of the Regular Season Edition.
Welcome back to the Sickos Stats Summary for Week 14!! The Final Edition of the Regular Season!!

The Sickos Stats Summary, basically going to be weird stats on different things we found that we don’t think get a lot of attention. We will make some graphics every week and try to give you a few amounts of stats that are unconventionally appealing or things that don’t get highlighted much.
Do I know how many stats will be in each weekly post? Nope.
SAFETY ALERTS FOR WEEK 14!!!
You know we love our safeties here. It’s a scoring play that's rare, and it leads to weird scores that you don’t see too often. So we want to shout out these teams that scored a safety. We were able to gather data from the FBS, FCS and sometimes DII***. If we miss one in our data search, we’re sorry. It is not intentional, and sometimes the data is faulty.

Another mixed bag for the safeties this week. The snow helped a little bit but for the most part, if you got a safety you won. Tennessee used their safety to put away pesky Vandy. Iowa State got an intentional grounding safety to help them build an eight point lead to win Farmaggedon. Louisiana Tech used their safety to bury Kennesaw State deeper into a hole. Western Michigan used their safety to start a 16-0 run right before halftime on Eastern Michigan, getting to Bowl Eligibility and winning the Michigan MAC trophy in the process.
Bowling Green used their safety to get to 7-2, then got a Fiver but then Miami (OH) was able to put them away. Tulsa was down 42-2 at one point in the game.

LONGEST SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

I am not sure Georgia Tech fans will appreciate this award this week. They lost a heartbreaking game in EIGHT OVERTIMES. This drive did help kill nearly the entire 3rd Quarter and give Tech a 20-6 lead. Maybe punching this one in for a touchdown would have been ideal, but we know what happened. Anyway, Congrats Georgia Tech on this award; you will likely send it back to us.
LONGEST NON-SCORING DRIVE OF THE WEEK - TIME OF POSSESSION

Michigan beat Ohio State, so maybe Wolverines fans won’t be too mad at this award. Also, this Interception gave us a Gus Johnson call where his vocal cords exploded, and he lost his voice. RIP Gus Johnson's voice. This drive did help wear down the Ohio State defense a good bit and help Michigan seal it with another clock-killing drive for the eventual game-winning field goal.
ICE YOUR SHOULDER YOUNG MAN OF THE WEEK AWARD

Shout out to Paxton DeLaurent of SEMO. They hosted the FCS First Round playoff game against Illinois State, since the Redbirds couldn’t host due to the Illinois state High School playoff games. Paxton threw four touchdowns to his team, but he also threw two interceptions returned for touchdowns to the other team, which didn’t help SEMO’s case.
This was the ultimate slinging the ball around the field game. Paxton tied an FCS record of Stephen F. Austin's Jeremy Moses' 85 passing attempts against Sam Houston State back on Nov. 1, 2008. Moses' final stat line in the loss: 57-of-85 passing with 449 yards and two touchdowns. Paxton had 119 yards more passing than Jeremy Moses. Funny that both QBs, with this many pass attempts, both lost their respective games. I know you will ask, so I will tell you, Connor Halliday of Washington State holds the FBS record of 89 Pass attempts against Oregon in 2013.
LONGEST PUNT OF THE WEEK - FBS & FCS

Shout out to Marshall Nichols of UNLV with the Longest Punt of the Week for Week 14!! Marshall flipped the field with this punt, even though it went for a touchback. Nevada was then sacked by the UNLV defense, and they scooped up the fumble, returning it for a touchdown. We’re going to credit Marshall’s punt with forcing this fumble return touchdown. Congrats Marshall!
Also, Honorable mention to Charlotte’s punter, Michael O'Shaughnessy. He booted a punt for 77 yds, setting a school record with the longest punt in the process. It was downed at the UAB 2.
Thank you for reading and i’ll try to do some other fun stuff for Championship Week and the Bowl Season!
