The Sickos Preseason Poll Explainer

Hello, fellow Sickos, we are nearing the beginning of the college football season and it is time to vote for your preseason Sickos teams of the year. For many of you, this may be your first time being tasked to vote in a Sickos Committee poll, and you might not know what to do. 

A link to a Google form will be posted and you will be able to select your Top 10 Sickos preseason teams for the 2022 college football season. (We require a Google sign in to try to limit everyone to one ballot and we do NOT collect email addresses.)

What is a Sickos team exactly? Well that’s completely up to you! Keep in mind these are teams you want to watch for the upcoming season based on whatever you deem “unconventionally appealing”. Whether it is a team who may have a coach on the hot seat with an immediate loss start to the season, a team with a brutal schedule initially, a team notorious for punting a lot or a maybe plucky G5 team you think could play spoiler. You ultimately get to decide who are your Top 10 Sickos teams. (Also, if you feel like some team or person is really Sickos in another sport like F1, NASCAR, MLB, NBA, etc, you can submit those choices in your ballot also and we track those categories in others receiving votes, we just ask you to not be derogatory please)

Wherever you place them in the poll, that team would get a corresponding amount of votes.

1st place = 10 pts, 2nd place = 9 pts, 3rd place = 8 pts and so on.  

We will close the poll on Friday August 19th at 9pm CST and tabulate the votes that weekend.

We will release The Sickos Preseason Top 25 Poll on Monday August 22nd. 

We will also continue the polling after the Week 5 games (October 1st) and Week 9 (October 29th) and end with our final poll of the year just before the Conference championship games (After November 26th).
