The Sickos Committee Who Hasn’t Played Who March Madness Bracket
In the past of the blog, we wondered about the 150+ year history of college football and why certain schools just never seemed to play each other for whatever reason. (https://sickos-newsletter.beehiiv.com/p/why-havent-these-teams-played-yet) Basically, it was the Commish (aka myself writing this) wish-casting some more weirdness into college football. This is what we do here at the Sickos Committee; we want a sport of wildness to remain wild. Give us the strange. Give us the weird kickoff times. Give us the differing offensive styles. Just smash them up against each other in a weird Play-Doh mixture.
We attempted to highlight some match-ups that never happened and tried to explain why we wanted the game to happen for whatever Sickos reasoning we could find. For example, LSU vs. Wazzu should play a Home and Home because of the insane tailgating that would occur and maybe some potential fireworks on the field. Add the ridiculous distance between the schools, and that’d make for some fun in our opinion. Although the Big Ten and ACC realignments have taken the distance between schools and made it a little more common.
So we created a spreadsheet of around 200 games that have not happened in college football yet. I put them into a giant Google form and told our Patrons in our discord to click as many games you want to see played for whatever Sickos reason. I told them these would need to be a Home and Home series because we’re not down for a neutral site game in this hypothetical. We need fans of both schools to get a chance to watch this game in person, no matter how few or many showed up to watch.
Also, maybe the winner of this tournament could get the schools together to schedule a Home and Home in the future. Does the Sickos Committee have that power yet? Stay tuned.
Our Lord of the Spreadsheets, Kevin, then organized the Top 68 Games into seeding. The more votes a particular game got, the better seed it got. Does that mean this bracket is going to just have the favorites win? No way, it is a Sickos Bracket after all. Also, maybe this bracket makes sense in a weird way, but the seeding is going to be a madhouse.
Also, I understand some of you are exclusively on Bluesky, so I am going to put Poll voting inside this blog since Bluesky does not have polling capabilities just yet. We will follow along with all our polls and update them through the madness here on this blog! So Subscribe!
The First Four (Well, actually Nine) Out
The games that have never happened before didn’t make the cut and basically missed being in this Sickos Committee March Madness Bracket by one click. These games that haven’t happened before were just so close to making the bracket.
Boise State vs Nebraska
Tulane vs Oregon State
Pitt vs Memphis
James Madison vs Wazzu
Kent State vs Tulsa
BYU vs Auburn
UCLA vs Ole Miss

The First Four are match-ups that just made the cut and we can pretend these take place in Scenic Dayton, Ohio.
KEEP IN MIND YOU ARE VOTING FOR THE MOST SICKOS MATCH-UP HERE. NOT MAINSTREAM PRIME-TIME ON ABC/FOX/NBC/CBS GAMES. THINK FS1, SEC or ACC Network, ESPNU or ESPN+ or the CW/Team1Sports App

Presenting The Sickos Committee Who Hasn’t Played Who March Madness Bracket.
First we start with the Vibes Region.
This region is mainly based on Sickos Games; we want to see vibe-based reasoning. Now, like all brackets, nothing is perfectly aligned bracket-wise. However, this one comes damn near close to being perfect. Is the One Seed of Muncie, Indiana, vs. Monroe, Louisiana, vibes based? You bet your ass it is. Did we put FIU vs. NIU in this bracket because they both end in IU? You’re damn right. It fits. It’s Vibes, baby!

The Vibes Region
Next up is the Tailgate Region.
Now, you see, that the One Seed is Akron vs ULM. Think of this one as the lowest One Seed that gets placed out of their home region by the Selection Committee. Why the hell is Florida the One Seed in the West along the lines of thinking. The rest of these games should produce an insane tailgating atmosphere for the most part or have awesome regional food.

The Tailgate Region
Next Up is the Long Distance Region.
This bracket is for the games where the teams would have to travel the longest distance to play each other. Yes Hawai’i vs UConn is the appropriate seeding for this region. FIU vs Wazzu, UMass vs Wyoming and Arizona State vs Syracuse is 15 Seed! What a region!

The Long Distance Region
Finally the Close to Home Region
This is the Region where you’d likely be surprised these two teams had never played each other. Also, we threw in match-ups with similar mascots in here, the Navy vs the Cajun Navy. It’s not a perfect seeding region and we had some bid stealers here!
