Hey y’all, Commish here from the Sickos Committee. It’s a special time of year for our favorite portion of the college football internet and really the portion of it that winds up forming the Sickos Committee in an indirect fashion. We’re big fans of the Shutdown Fullcast and Split Zone Duo and previously Podcast Ain’t Played Nobody. We enjoyed the days of Banner Society and have come from the EDSBS (Every Day Should Be Saturday) extended universe.
Every year they do something called the The EDSBS Charity Bowl (known online as the #CharitibundiBowl), an annual fundraising contest staged in aid of New American Pathways, a full-service refugee resettlement nonprofit based in Atlanta. This is the 20th Edition of it. You can read about the entire project here: THE 2026 EDSBS CHARITY BOWL IS UPON US
This year they have a new game format, and they have asked the Committee to help out with this new game format for 2026.
“NEW GAME FORMAT FOR 2026! In honor of the 20th edition of the Charitibundi Bowl, we’re returning the contest to its college football roots with a pre-set field of teams. This field will consist of all 138 schools scheduled to field FBS programs in 2026, a handful of mid-major schools with longstanding community ties to the Charity Bowl, and a few noncorporeal programs that are, strictly speaking, imaginary. You can view the full list of eligible teams here.”
“By tradition, donations are typically made in the form of a football score or statistic that has sentimental value to the donor. You might give $70.33, for example, in memory of West Virginia’s 2012 Orange Bowl romp over Clemson, or $26.28, to honor Barry Sanders’ single-season rushing record.”
We’re here as the Sickos Committee to give you suggestions for the smaller schools in Division I to donate on their behalf since this year you don’t have a chance to write in your school if your school is FCS or below. You can always donate to the EDSBS extended universe if you want, but why not throw some donations to your fellow FBS counterparts in the Group of 5/6 here?
This one will break down the American, CUSA and MAC donation suggestions. You can always donate the amount you want but we’re just making fun suggestions.

Also, we’re going to create some fun groups of battles to highlight throughout the week based on some odd similarities and keep you informed on our Bluesky account all week long from April 20th to April 24th.
As always, the donation link is here: https://www.edsbscharitybowl.com/ and it opens Monday morning, April 20th.

THE OWLIGARCHY
All the OWLS of FBS will battle in donation totals? Which Owl is better than all the others? Do you like Scrappy or Sammy more? Maybe Hooter or Owlsley? Donate in the school’s honor to tell us which OWL is better than the others!

WHICH GREEN WILL REIGN SUPREME?
There are schools who all have either Green in their mascot name or school name. We didn’t include Western Kentucky since they didn’t have Green in their school name and it would likely insult Big Red. So which GREEN reigns supreme between the Green Wave, Bowling Green or the Mean Green? Donate to one school take a side!

WHICH GREEN WILL REIGN SUPREME?
Stay tuned till tomorrow when we will give the donation suggestions for the Mountain West, Pac-12 and Sun Belt along with some other things we will track to help the smaller schools get some donations throughout the week.
